Guardian Life Employees Fight for the Lives of Hungry Children and Families

Madison Firios Projects

1 in 5 children that live in New York alone struggle with knowing where their next meal will come from. Life Guardian recognized this problem and decided to take the stand against hunger. On September 5th, employees gathered in New York to package 25,000 healthy and delicious meals that would be distributed in the local communities.

Guardian Life

Guardian has committed to making a positive impact in communities through corporate social responsibility practices. As a company, they hold themselves to high standards, believing that people count and doing the right thing is important.

At our volunteer events, we like to have fun while giving back. We provide a unique experience complete with dancing and singing throughout the event. The high-energy environment and hands-on work empowers volunteers and leads to a high-impact in the community.

Noreen Fierro, Head of Compliance, shared that “hunger is something that can impact anyone, anywhere and it’s so simple to step up and help. This is also a great team building opportunity for our team, so for us, it’s a no-brainer and we can’t wait for next year!” During this year’s project, they reached the 200,000 meal milestone with FCE and they are excited to help that number grow!

Impact State of Mind

All of the food packaged at this volunteer event was picked up by City Harvest; a local New York non-profit. City Harvest works in high-need neighborhoods across New York City to make sure they have easy access to the food they need. They want to provide meals that are desired, nutritious and actually taste good so our Red Lentil Jambalaya was perfect for what they needed.

We are grateful for partners that see the importance of working toward a hunger-free world. Through service events like this, you or your team can also make a difference in many lives. Host a Hunger Project today or donate to provide healthy meals for those who need it most.
