Happy Earth Day from all of us at Feeding Children Everywhere! This day was founded in the United States in 1970 by US Senator Gaylord Nelson but has since gone global with the 1990 founding of the Earth Day Network. Now celebrated in 193 countries, Earth Day promotes environmental awareness with a variety of community events focused on creating sustainable solutions to protect the Earth we all call home.

4 Easy Earth Day Tips

Here are some simple ways you can help celebrate Earth Day regularly just like we do at Feeding Children Everywhere!

1. Limit your use of disposable plastics, especially bottles, bags and straws. At FCE, we use biodegradable bags to package our meals. That way, we can ensure our bags are only helping, not hurting.

2. Use reusable bottles for your water and reusable mugs for your morning coffee! We have a variety of reusable merch available online such as water bottles and tumblers to help you cut down on your single-use plastic.

3. Plant a tree! We have a commitment to plant trees in countries where our meals are distributed internationally. What better way to celebrate Earth Day than by bringing that promise to your own backyard!

4. Reduce your traveling by plane! If you fly five times per year, those trips are can account for up to 75% of your carbon footprint. FCE reduced our carbon footprint by opening warehouses all over the country, including Chicago, Salt Lake City, New York City and Dallas to cut down on our shipping and our travel!

Celebrate Every Day Like Earth Day!

While Earth Day may be only one day, there’s no need to keep these practices limited to once a year! We can make small improvements every day that will leave a big impact on our one and only planet Earth.
