Our friends at Chick-Fil-A are kicking off the college football season with The University of North Carolina and the University of Georgia by hosting an exciting Hunger Project at the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Bulldogs and Tar Heels continue their long-standing rivalry on the Feeding Children Everywhere assembly lines, assembling 15,000 meals for hungry people in need.
Hunger Project participants chose a side of the assembly to donate their time to — RED for the Bulldogs and BLUE for the Tar Heels.
Meals packaged on the respective assembly lines will be sent back to the team’s hometown to directly impact the hunger issues in their community.
In the United States, 45 million Americans live below the poverty line. That number includes the increasing amount of students who battle with hunger on college campuses like UGA and UNC.
Hunger Projects hosted by corporate sponsors like Chick-Fil-A, help remedy a growing hunger issue in our own backyards.
Thank you to all of the amazing fans who are assembling meals and becoming Hunger Heroes. Go team!
