Digital Strategist


REPORTS TO: Associate Director of Marketing


DIRECT REPORTS: Associate Developer


HOURS: Full Time (40 hours)

Position Summary:

The Digital Strategist will work directly with the Associate Director of Marketing to implement and innovate digital tools and strategies that activate people for a hunger–free world. The primary areas of focus include, but are not limited to: managing web properties (frontend design and development, content creation, information architecture, SEO, etc.), overseeing app design and development, assessing analytics, contributing to Marketing team direction and elevating digital excellence throughout the organization.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Maintaining, improving, and building web properties
    • Frontend design
    • Frontend development
    • Creating content for site pages and campaigns
    • Assist internal partners with updating pages and posting content
    • Ensure that our sites meet accessibility standards
  • Developing digital strategy standards that guide the organization in digital excellence
    • Feeding Children Everywhere Website
    • US Hunger Website
    • Fed 40 Website
    • Fed 40 Application
    • Classy
    • Other domains
    • Some social media content
  • Assisting creative team in creating and planning campaigns and high level content that matters
  • Managing Associate Developer in daily tasks and professional development
  • Designing and creating our mobile applications
  • Bringing creative and unique perspective to enhance existing and future platforms

Minimum Requirements

  • YOU’VE GOT THE EXPERIENCE: 2+ years of relevant experience in creating digital tools
    • Information Architecture means something to you
    • SEO isn’t just an acronym
    • Ability to create flexible systems that grow and iterate with the needs of the organization
      • Pattern Libraries/Style Guides; Clean, Extensible and Sharable Code
  • YOU’VE GOT THE PROOF: ​Fluent in frontend design and development
    • Adobe XD/Sketch prototyping, Photoshop
  • YOU DON’T MISS A BEAT: Extremely attentive to detail, accurate and thorough
  • YOU CAN JUGGLE: ​Ability to juggle multiple projects and organize many moving parts
  • YOU TAKE CHARGE: ​Outstanding decision making abilities and leadership qualities
  • BACHELOR’S DEGREE (Preferred)
