On July 26th, we had volunteers come out from UnitedHealthcare to help package thousands of meals for our Fed 40 program. As a company, they want to push for an end to food insecurity in America. They even provided FCE with a grant to combat the issue. Kim, who had a big hand in putting this Hunger Project together, believes in the fight against hunger. The meals they packed will be distributed to hungry children and families in local communities.
FCE’s relationship with UnitedHealthcare began in 2017. Our CEO, Dave Green, was invited to their Food and Security brainstorming session. After that, our partnership took off with the grant that UnitedHealthcare gifted FCE and the direct work through our volunteer events. Also, at our 2nd Annual Hunger Hero Awards, UnitedHealthcare’s CEO was even honored with the Community Leader of the Year award. Their company is dedicated to forging a lasting relationship with FCE to combat hunger and we are so thankful to have such a committed partner.
The company’s passion to play an active role in ending food insecurity shines especially bright though Kim. She was all smiles during this volunteer opportunity. She believes mobilizing her fellow employees for service events is certainly a powerful reflection of UnitedHealthcare’s culture. FCE is thankful for Hunger Heroes that bring their passion to package every meal with love.
