JPMC Summer Interns Beat the Heat While Fighting to Beat Hunger

Sammy Ford FCE

On August 9 we partnered with JPMorgan Chase to package meals with their summer interns! This event involved interns from all over the country. It gave them a fun volunteer opportunity to end their summer program. This opportunity to work together as a team was not only unique but it also made a huge impact. Like all our service projects, FCE worked to create an environment with lots of cheering and great music. This helped fuel the energy as they worked to make an impact on the fight against hunger.

Although this was most of the interns’ first time at a Feeding Children Everywhere food packing event, FCE has had the opportunity to work with JPMC numerous times over the years. Overall, JPMC has excelled in practicing their corporate social responsibility by packaging millions of meals with us to end hunger.

At this Hunger Project, the JPMC interns packaged our Red Lentil Jambalaya. This tasty, healthy vegan meal is packed with protein, vitamins and fiber. These meals were distributed locally in the New York City area. By the time their two hours of packing was done, these volunteers had over 21,000 meals ready to distribute to local hungry families and children.

Corporate Volunteers

Corporate service projects like these are vital in the fight against hunger in the US and around the world. By hosting meal packing events like these, partners like JPMC are able to provide nutritious meals to those that are dealing with food insecurity. Your team can also play their part in fighting for a hunger-free world by hosting a Hunger Project. Will you join us?
