Football Teams Package Meals at a Unique Team-Building Event

Madison Firios Projects

On December 17th, these two football teams went head to head in a competition to end hunger! BYU and Western Michigan packaged a total of 40,000 delicious meals for hungry children and families in their local community at the 2018 Idaho Potato Bowl. Time flew by as these football players became Hunger Heroes at this unique team-building event!

Even though both teams raced against each other to see who could pack the fastest, everyone had the same goal; to fight hunger. Sometimes it’s easy to forget about the hunger that exists in our own backyard, but every day, thousands of people in America wonder where their next meal will come from. Feeding Children Everywhere has a vision of a hunger-free world, but we can’t do it alone.

Efficient and Empowering

With our efficient assembly line model, every volunteer plays an important part in packing the meals. We empower each individual to know that their role is impacting real lives. The assembly line starts with scooping the ingredients and ends with placing the sealed meals in a box. However, the impact of these meals go way beyond the assembly line.

All of the food packaged at the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl will be distributed by the Idaho Food Bank. This means that the work of these volunteers in just a couple of hours will impact thousands of lives for the next few weeks.

If you would like to empower your team to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most in your local community, contact us to host a meal-packaging event. You can also make a donation, where every dollar provides 10 delicious meals for hungry individuals and families.
