The 30,000 meals packed recently by Hunger Heroes at Feeding Children Everywhere’s headquarters in Central Florida are beginning to arrive in Venezuela.
The meals came from a Hunger Project organized by an engaged couple who wanted to do something to help their family and others living in the South American country, which is in the midst of a crushing recession.
“That these children are receiving help from strangers, I think that’s the most incredible thing,” says Sarah Davila, the bride-to-be who led the Hunger Project with her fiancé, Andres Aranguibel. “We don’t know you, you don’t know us, but we love you. These are not just meals, they are a reminder that there are people out there who care about them, and there is hope for tomorrow.”
