Volunteers Honor Gandhi’s Legacy During Day of Service, Add to 700,000 Meals for Haiti

Two great events are happening right now at Feeding Children Everywhere’s headquarters in Central Florida.

On one side of our facilities, more than 1,500 volunteers are helping to package 700,000 meals for Haiti. On the other side, volunteers with the Indian American Chamber of Commerce are celebrating and living out Mahatma Gandhi’s message of peace and service by packaging 12,000 meals for hungry people.

The Gandhi Day of Service is bringing together individuals across cultures. Half of the meals being packaged at the Day of Service will be distributed locally, and the rest will be added to the two containers for Haiti.

Two great events, one great cause … a hunger-free world!
