The Times are Changing

Brooke Jones FCE

Right now is a time of change. The air is growing colder as the autumn season turns to winter. Leaves are changing colors before they fall, leaving their trees bare. Even our clocks are changing with the end of daylight savings time. During this season, we can reflect on the changes around us and the ones that have happened to us.

Throughout our seven-year history, Feeding Children Everywhere has come a long way. FCE began in a home, around the table. Years later, over 90 million of our healthy meals have reached children and families in countries all over the world. What started as a response to a devastating situation in Haiti, has led to a global mission of activating people for a hunger–free world.

At FCE, we believe that hunger can end in our lifetime. We’ve learned that we need to change and grow in order to reach our goal. In just the past year, FCE has launched Fed 40 and the National Breakfast Program to provide food insecure children and families in America with life-changing resources. After the recent series of devastating hurricanes, FCE acted quickly to provide life–saving disaster relief through projects like Atlanta Cares and Orlando Cares. The number of meals distributed, projects, programs and hunger heroes continue to rise daily. As the times change, FCE will continue to change and grow our programs to make a critical impact in the world.
