Giving Tuesday: Disaster Relief for Hurricane Victims

Julie Mast Impact

Due to the numerous devastating hurricanes this year, there are many people in need of help. Thousands of children have yet to return to school because the school buildings have been too badly damaged following Hurricane Michael in the Florida Panhandle. There are many elderly residents in the Panama City Beach area who are struggling to survive due to the lack of essential resources available. On November 27th, Giving Tuesday provides a way for us to help these hurricane survivors.

After hurricanes including Matthew, Irma, Florence, and Michael, our country is hurting and in desperate need of relief. The damage to infrastructure alone has exponential costs. There are still thousands of people in temporary or semi-permanent shelters since they cannot return home. With the damage to the infrastructure in many cities being so extensive, a great number of people are unable to work and bring in any income for their families. With your generosity, we can help people who have been affected by these hurricanes to survive the tragedy of losing their homes and cities.

Next week is Giving Tuesday; an opportunity for everyone to help those in need during the holiday season. It is a global movement with individuals, families, organizations, businesses, and communities participating all around the world! It uses the collective power of various partners to transform how people think about, talk about, and participate in the giving season. Our team here at Feeding Children Everywhere wants to inspire people everywhere to take action to improve their communities and give back in better, smarter ways to a cause they believe in!

Changing Lives This Holiday Season

We are aiming to raise $25,000 to provide meals and assistance to victims of hurricane damage in the past year. Together, we can provide basic necessities like food, water, and supplies for people across the country. With your help, we could make a huge difference in the lives of thousands of people in the wake of these tragic circumstances.
