Seasonal Logistics Lead


LOCATION: ORLANDO, FL

REPORTS TO:REGIONAL MANAGER

AREAS OF INTEREST: EVENTS, TRAVEL, SHIPPING, DISTRIBUTION, EVENT LOGISTICS, WAREHOUSE

START DATE: FALL

Position Summary:

The Seasonal Logistics Lead position will play a large part in ensuring that product and set up are ready for Hunger Projects nationwide. This person will travel across the United States and perform the ins-and-outs of event logistics, load-in, load-out, safety/sanitation and meal distribution. All travel and expenses are covered by the organization.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Traveling to and Leading the Logistics of Hunger Projects
    • Domestic and International
  • Loading and Unloading Trucks and Shipments at Events
  • Controlling Volunteer Production to Meet Overall Meal Goal
  • Ensuring Overall Sanitation and Safety at Events
  • Managing Groups of Volunteers
  • Representing Feeding Children Everywhere and Connecting with Clients and Feeding Partners
  • Managing Event Power and Electrical Components
  • Ensuring Pickup/Delivery of Packaged Food to Feeding Partners
  • Assisting Event Lead with Managing Volunteers and Event Team
  • Occasionally Driving Project Materials to Event Site

  • You Keep Your Eyes on the Road: Must Have a Clean Driving Record
  • You’ve Been Around the Block: 1-2 Years Experience in Operations, Logistics or Warehouse Management
