The Power Of Partnership

Justin Miller, Co-Founder and Executive Director for CARE for AIDS, Inc. wrote this blog last year about the power of partnerships between organizations after partnering on an event with us.

CARE for AIDS, Inc. an organization started in 2007 by Miller and two of his friends, partners with local Kenyan churches to operate life transforming centers for men and women living with HIV/AIDS.

In 2012, CARE for AIDS, Inc. spent $125,000 just to feed their clients. It is beneficial to CARE for AIDS, Inc. to form a strategic partnership with an organization like ours because providing food is not a main objective for their organization. By supplementing their food budget, they can focus on their main goal of helping as many Kenyan families affected by HIV/AIDS.

Miller’s points on the importance of partnerships:
1. If you try to do everything, you won’t do anything well.
2. Donors have more confidence that their dollars go farther.
3. It keeps the focus more on the mission and less on the organization.

“Strategic partnerships may mean sharing credit, but at the end of the day, if more people are receiving the good news of the Gospel, that is a win for everybody,” Miller wrote.
